Melissa Chea Physiotherapist, MPT
Calgary-born and raised, Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary before completing her Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Western Ontario in 2017.
Melissa’s approach emphasizes helping clients understand their condition while investigating the root cause of their concern. She recognizes that two people with similar symptoms may have very different underlying causes, lifestyles, goals, and hobbies. With this in mind, she designs treatment plans that are personalized for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and overall well-being. By targeting the source of an issue, her aim is to prevent recurrence, help clients achieve their goals, and improve their quality of life.
Melissa’s passion for running and weightlifting has given her a deep understanding of what it takes to move well, build strength, and perform at your best. She especially enjoys working with runners and active individuals, bringing her own experience to help clients improve performance, recover from injuries, and continue doing the activities they love. Her method includes identifying biomechanical issues and improving movement patterns, helping clients move more efficiently and with less risk of injury. She incorporates a variety of techniques in her treatments, including manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, taping, functional exercises, and patient education.
While her practice includes many areas, she has a strong interest in: - Chronic neck and back pain - Chronic knee and hip pain - Running injuries - Women’s pelvic health
Additional Training & Certifications: - Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy - Functional Dry Needling - Intraoral Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)

Her approach to massage therapy is rooted in a holistic view of health, recognizing the deep connection between the body, mind, and nervous system. Tina is passionate about helping clients feel more balanced and supported through therapeutic touch while creating a safe and welcoming space for relaxation, healing, and restoration. She approaches each treatment with intention, care, and the understanding that every body is unique.
Outside of her studies, Tina enjoys staying active and nurturing her own wellness through yoga, running, playing volleyball, and spending time at the gym.
